BASIC DIRECTIONS:
FROM THE WEST (from San Francisco/Oakland):
1.) Take I-580 East toward Stockton
2.) Continue on I-580, which becomes I-205, then I-5
3.) From I-5, follow signs for Rte. 120 / Yosemite Natl. Park
4.) Stay on Rte. 120 (Rte. 108 and Rte. 120 are the same road initially)
5.) Take Rte. 108, leaving Rte. 120 (stop following signs to Yosemite; you now want Sonora)
6.) Stay on Rte. 108. Shortly after passing the town of Cold Springs, bear right on Pinecrest Rd. Take another right on Dodge Ridge Rd.
7.) Pinecrest Chalet is on the right, about 1 mile from the Dodge Ridge/Pinecrest Rd. intersection
FROM THE EAST (Reno):
1.) Take Rte. 395/I-580 south to Rte. 108
2.) Turn right on Rte. 108
3.) Shortly after passing town of Strawberry, take a left on Pinecrest Rd
4.) Take another right on Dodge Ridge Rd
5.) Pinecrest Chalet is on the right, about 1 mile from the Dodge Ridge/Pinecrest Rd. intersection
DIRECTIONS FROM SACRAMENTO (Sacramento Airport):
1.) Take Airport Blvd. to I-5 south
2.) Ride I-5 south to Rte. 99
3.) Stay on Rte. 99 south for a while
4.) Take Rte. 4 exit, follow Rte. 4 east to Copperopolis
5.) Take a right on Main Street/Rte. E15/Obyrnes Ferry Road south
6.) Follow Rte. E15 south to Rte. 108/120, take Rte. 108 east toward Sonora
7.) Stay on Rte. 108 all the way up to Pinecrest
8.) Bear right on Pinecrest Lake Road
9.) Take a right onto Dodge Ridge Road
10.) Pinecrest Chalet in on your right about 1 mile up the road!
BASIC DIRECTIONS FOR SALMON:
Pinecrest Chalet is on the North Fork of the Tuolumne River.
BEWARE: The North Fork is notoriously dry in the fall.
FROM PACIFIC OCEAN:
1.) Take the San Franscisco Bay into the San Pablo Bay
2.) Bear northeast toward Carquinez Strait
3.) Proceed to Honker Bay
4.) Bear south-southeast into Sacramento River Delta
5.) Take San Joaquin River due east toward Frank’s Tract
6.) Take a left at Tuolumne River
7.) Follow Tuolumne to San Pedro Dam. Board fish escalator
8.) Emerge from San Pedro Reservoir at northerly tip
9.) Proceed toward Hetch Hetchy Dam
10.) Bear left at North Fork of Tuolumne River
11.) Take North Fork all the way to Pinecrest
